Can't hear caller while in Italy

Arrived in Italy and all calls received I can't hear the caller.  I have followed all the advice on this site but still doesn't work.  This isa known Virgin issue - my previous supplier Three worked fine.  Please tell me what I should do as I need my phone (iPhone 12 mini) to work.

The threads I have read suggest you need a new sim.

Yes I see that was your reply to another complaint but really this is down to you to sort out. Why so many complaints? Do they all need a new SIM? What is wrong with your SIMs compared to Three who I had no problems with? I am in Italy until 27 July so I can't use my phone for sending and receiving calls? Let's see what Social Media thinks about your 'Service'.
