I am struggling to get through to someone on chat, I would rather type down my query rather than speak on the phone.

Basically my bill is very expensive and I don't need such fast broadband, also have a 2nd virgin TV box that I don't use anymore. If I can't get in touch with someone and want to leave can I just cancel my direct debit as my contract is up with them now.

Just a word of warning, cancelling your direct debit is the worst possible thing you can do. There are posts on here almost every day from people who have had their credit rating trashed by Virgin Media after cancelling the direct debit, and are being turned down for everything from loans and mortgages to simple things like a new phone or internet contract with a new provider.

Hi Jpassey,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I am sorry for any hold times, we're busier than normal.

Calling us would be your best bet on 150 / 0345 454 1111

Or you can use the other methods of contact here - https://virg.in/contactvm

I'd advise against cancelling the direct debit as it doesn't cancel the account.

Best wishes,

Thanks but I struggle to understand the people on the phone sometimes and then end up with something I didn't ask for. I have lost my login details for the site but do you know if I can make changes there?

You can't do any downgrades online no - I will send you a PM though to help with sorting the log in out.

Best wishes,
