Abroad and told my sim to be deactivated for new sim

Hi

I've been notified that my sim will be deactivated in 14 days, as a new sim is being sent out.

This is highly annoying as I'm abroad and when I get back to the UK I won't be going straight home, and will obviously want to use my phone!

Is there any way of delaying this deactivation/ Very annoying they way this is being done.

Thanks

Steve

Hi stevewales78,

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community.

I am very sorry to hear you will not be able to activate your new SIM within the 14 days.

I am afraid that due to the migration of the SIM's, we will be unable to delay the process and the SIM will need to be activated within the time period provided.

Is there anyway the SIM can be forwarded to you upon your return to the UK?

Thanks,

Nat

Thanks for your reply, nope I won't be able to get it forwarded. This is the second time this year Virgin have done this with 2 weeks notice, and for someone who travels a lot it is a big disruption to me.....Time to go to another provider, as I can't afford for this to happen again!

I am very sorry to hear this, this is not what we would want.

Once again, our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.

Thanks,
