5G with existing sim only contract?

Hi there,

Extremely new to Virgin Community. I have seen posts last year regarding Virgin and 5G. Now that it is up and running, I have bought myself a new phone which is on the way, but was wondering whether I need to change my sim only contract so that I am able to get the 5G services. I recently just upgraded my sim only contract in December 2020 for a 6x 6gb data deal, so am not looking to upgrade again unless I really have to.

Thanks in advance to any help and advice!

Gary

Re: 5G with existing sim only contract?

I think you need to move over to one of the new 5g contracts that changes you over from EE to Vodafone. Log onto your online account and try this link.

Not sure if you are in an existing contract and eligible to chop over, but it's worth having a try. There's a choice of 12 or 24 month contracts

Re: 5G with existing sim only contract?

They have changed some over without changing tariff, but it is at their pace, not something you can force.

Eventually everyone will move.
