4ga data in York UK slow or no internet

Herb61
Tuning in

Hi over the last two weeks 4g data and internet connectivity in York has been incredibly slow with no internet connection in the centre of York across x4 Virgin sims/mobiles used by our family. This is really frustrating for contact with kids and my phone is used for business as well. The 02 online service status for the last two days reports that there is a mast issue in York that needs engineering attention. Can you advise if this is the case and is it going to be resolved?

I am so sorry to hear that you're experiencing some issues with your mobile connection and service in the centre of York. When you head here and enter the full post code of the area where you're facing issues, what does it state?

Thanks,

O2 status report:

Looks like a nearby phone mast isn’t working as it should, sorry.

Our engineers are likely to be on the case already, and your service might come and go until we fix it.

Hi @Herb61,

Thank you for taking a look and confirming. If the team are aware of the issue then I assure you that we'll be doing all that we can to get this matter addressed and resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, where possible, I'd recommend connecting to Wi-Fi if you need to use the services in the impacted area. Apologies for any inconvenience that this causes.

Thanks,
