Re: 4G data speeds slow

Thanks guys for letting me know. Especially the EE facts, perfect connection at the same spot. Yes, Virgin must have changed sth.... and now they are not able to provide the service they are selling... for 3 weeks now.

Please keep me updated.... Should we cancel our contracts?

Re: 4G data speeds slow

That's crazy about the EE customers getting a good service.

I'll try and get that tested at my end of Tottenham Court Road.

In regards to resolver.co.uk if there's anything i can add to people's complaints to aid the process please let me know

Re: 4G data speeds slow

Just done it again just to be sure...

Standing right next to each other, colleague with EE, both inside the building (so signal strength is 3/5 "lines" for both of us):

EE:
down: 21.31Mbps
up: 17.52Mbps

Virgin Mobile:
down: 0.50Mbps
up: 9.41Mbps

Yeah, definitely not an EE problem, virgin messed something up...

Re: 4G data speeds slow

The ee phone could be accessing their 800mhz 4g signal which virgin don't have access to.

Re: 4G data speeds slow

... just one quick question. Do you have bad LTE Internet speed (though good signal) all over London?

I work near Belgrave Square and I just have this problem in this area.... on my way home with my back, all is well.

Nope, just central London. Works like a charm in Wimbledon.

Re: 4G data speeds slow

I haven't cancelled mine yet but I've asked for them to provide an actual resolution time and if it's not within a reasonable timeframe, then compensation + an agreement which states that no penalties will be applied for leaving the contract early.

With regards to resolver.co.uk, I can only advise logging a ticket too as it requires your acc no to proceed. The more complaints through there, the better (?)

Re: 4G data speeds slow

How were you able to reach out to them regarding compensation and agreement? Via text message? Or did you call?

Re: 4G data speeds slow

Sorry, I should have been more clear. It was the part of the resolver.co.uk submission and have requested that this is what I hope to receive if Virgin can't resolve the issue timely. The submission I did directly through resolver. Hope that answers your question.

Re: 4G data speeds slow

No surprises here, it's 0.04 again on 4g @Oxford Circus.

I think I'll go to resolver.co.uk now as well, it's been a month, I've had enough. The only reason I've waited this much is because I hate it so much to look for a proper sim deal elsewhere, but I think it's time...
