2 days and number still not transferred

Got a new sim only deal to transfer my daughters number across, filled in details with PAC code and told process starts a soon as sim put in phone.

Did that Tues and 2 days later and she still has temp number and data still not working, is this normal? Or should it have transfered by now?

And now it gives error 42 every time I try and text.

When on Tuesday. If after 5pm I would expect it to transfer today

Is it possible to check the account from which it is being transferred if it is still active or not?

No I can't t access it, it was a pay as you go thing my daughter had with 3 and I cant get into the account.

Just been told it won't be transferred until the 30th.

I look forward to explaining this to my teenage daughter and confirming she will have no data and a temporary number until Monday.

If her temporary number is working she should have data. 

There is a possibility the APN settings on her phone have not updated.

Thabks for your help. 

Have checked her phone and those are the settings she has but whenever I try to access data it is just offline.

Now working!

Got virgin to send settings through again and all is good. 

Apart from having to wait until Monday for the number to transfer!
