tivo box error code 7400

Hi

My tv shows error code 7400, the web site links dont appear to work, the phone service is automated but hasnt cleared the fault. Does anyone know how to clear this fault

Hi field271,

Normally the automated line on  0800 953 9500 activates the box.

Have you tried rebooting the box? 

You could also try  speaking to  New accounts and Set Up for them to complete the setup and activation.

That would be options 1,1,1 and 4 if dialling 150 from a Virgin landline , or options 1,1,2 and 4  if dialling 0345 4541111 from any other phone

 

The link for error code 7400 is working and shows the following information.

If you have installed the TV box within the last 30 minutes this error code may be shown as the box isn’t activated yet. 

Still seeing the error after 30 minutes? Please sign into Service status (its at the top of this page) 

and run a test against the TV box you are installing. By doing this we’ll be able to reboot the box or put you in touch with the right team.

As per error code help error 7400 means your box needs activating, which can only be done by calling C/S

The helpsite suggests running online checks if you've called in the previous 30minutes, but if that fails I can only suggest you call C/S back (0800 9539500) and perhaps make doubly-sure of your box serial number.

Hi Dave

the 0800 number says they have already tested my line and call centres are shut

i have rebooted box several times

its the service status test that wont run from the website

from 150 1,1,1, closed go to website

 

very frustrating

Hi again field271,

The lines open again at 8:00am tomorrow.

I'm not sure if there's a problem with the activation process at present as a couple of other people in the broadband section have been given a message that their connections ahve been activated but they are still having connection issues 🤔

I will try again tomorrow

On the website when i type in code 7400 it directs me to 720p
