tivo box corupted recordings

Hi all,

please advise, 

I've been a Virgin customer for many years with no problems, recentlly any recordings I've made have become glitchy, from pixellation through to actual repeat "jumping" of fragments of recording, the problem is gradually getting worse  - affecting all my attempted recordings. I phoned the helpline and as I expected the signal strength etc is fine, it feels like a hardware /disc problem. I couldn't manage to speak to any human on the line so am posting here to try to resolve the problem.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your recordings.

 

As you've mentioned, this kind of fault usually indicates and issue with the hard drive in the box although there are other potential causes. I'd like to send a technician to check it out for you.
