moving my router

I have tried to contact via 150 but gave up after a very long wait.

I need to arrange for an engineer to visit. I need to arrange for my router to be moved from a room at the front of my house to one at the rear. I do understand that there will be a charge for this service.

Also, I am still using a very old model Tivo box. Can you please advise if I can get more up to date equipment?

thanks

Hi @DannyW1952

Since you have the old Tivo box, if it develops a fault it will be exchanged for free to a V6 box.

It's also possible to negotiate a new deal, and as part of the new contract ask for a free box swap to the V6.

You may find that the CS tries to nudge yuo into taking the newer 360 box, however this doesn'tr have all of the features e Tivo/V6 boxes.

If you do change to a 360 and don't like it then I'm afraid there's no way to revert back to the V6 box.

<<< this post >>>  albeit a little old now compares some of the differences.

There would be a £25 non fault call out charge (it used to be £99) to do the work you require.

You should call  150 from a Virgin landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111, option 2 (Faults

When calling Faults you will hear the automated response asking you to press 1 for the link to online support etc

Ignore all the options and don't press any buttons then you should be placed into a queue and an agent should pick up the phone and book the tech for you.

Or wait a day or two and a member of the Forum Team should pick this up for you and arrange a tech visit.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Hey Danny1952, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are struggling to get an appointment booked.

There is a one off charger of £25 for this if that is okay?

Also are you have any issues with your TV box at all?

We would only replace them if they was faulty, I will send you a PM now to get everything looked at.

Please look out for the purple envelope. Thanks
