So it sounds ike you've had pixellation issues caused by poor signal, and it may have been traced to faulty internal cabling.

If your immedite neighbours are also having problems, this would lend weight to a potential area issue - OR "you" could just be unlucky and have separate faults. Do your parents live in the same immediate area?
