getting through to virgin media

I have been trying to get through to virgin support for 4 days now and have spent hours on the phone listening to the dreadful music they play. I have tried the self help activities they have offered, run through their online support activities many times but it is now clear that it is my Tvo box that is faulty. How do I get Virgin to send an engineer out to fix it if the won't answer the phone ?

call 0345 454 1111 (or 150 if you have a virgin landline).
quietest times are between 8am and 10am

I'd also suggest not calling on a Monday as when I called on a Monday I couldn't get through but later that week I waited no more than 10 minutes.
