Worst customer service I have ever received!

As a loyal (20+ years) customer, I can honestly say in the last couple of months I have never received such a poor service from VM. Our internet became intermittent, we have had engineers, 4 modems and finally told the cable wasn't good enough for the 1Mb we are paying for (10 years old)! Sub contractor never turned up to replace the cable, VM van arrived to check the work was done (wasn't as they didn't turn up), his response 'oh dear, they will be with you in the next couple of days', that has not transpired so we are still with an intermittent internet service that makes working from home impossible, the televisions pixilate so cannot watch anything for long periods of time. To make it worse, there is no-one to speak to to resolve. I sent an email to the exec team with the complaint, they responded quickly asking for my contract number etc., 5 days later and after numerous chases they are now ignoring me. Anyone have any suggestions?
