V6 box

My recording playback are blocky and stuttery like there is a bad signal but the live program is fine. Please help

V box lost channels on 27/03/20, when turned on now sits at ‘starting up’ message. Turned on today to call virgin so could run service check, now making strange rattling noise, immediately turned off again. Think I need a new box. Continued to pay bill throughout this time with nothing in return.
