Both boxes connected to hub via WiFi and struggle to watch anything recorded on the opposite box - constant V401 errors

V401 is usually down to a network issue, such as not having internet. Can you try do the connection via hardwire connection instead of WiFi?
I have one box in the bedroom and one in living room, I could potentially run an Ethernet for that and try it

I phoned Virgin and they said reset both boxes and that worked
