V401 error

Both boxes connected to hub via WiFi and struggle to watch anything recorded on the opposite box - constant V401 errors

Re: V401 error

V401 is usually down to a network issue, such as not having internet. Can you try do the connection via hardwire connection instead of WiFi?

Re: V401 error

I have one box in the bedroom and one in living room, I could potentially run an Ethernet for that and try it

Re: V401 error

Both my TiVo boxes are hard wired in and quite a few times when attempting to watch from a different box I get this error. Sometimes whilst in the the middle of watching a programme. Someone I know who had this problem said that it was because of older TiVo V6 boxes, his were replaced and seemed to fix things. VM can you confirm before I go through the long winded telephone call to you call centre?

Re: V401 error

In short yes,  but this time I am getting the error code 1060. What do  you suggest I do as I don't have an hour to go through your call centre?

Re: V401 error

Hi Zedhaf,

Are you based in Ireland by any chance as that error code isn't a UK error number?

This link may help virgin-tv-box-error-codes/

According to the Help page

VM recommend:
That you check all connection cables are secured.

  • Reboot the set top box at the mains power.
  • If the issue persists for longer than 30 mins after the reboot, call Customer Care on freephone 1908, live chat with us here or contact us via social media.

Re: V401 error

No, I'm in the England but should have explained that the error code was an Amazon Prime code but relates to the same problem ie. internet access when this second TiVo box is the one furthest from the router and in a different room but wired in. As I said I did have a recent tech visit and checked/ rechecked all connections. Will reboot as suggested.
