Not having a TV Guide is often indicative of your TiVo's internet connection having failed.
On the front-left of your TiVo are a series of green lights - are any of them flashing?
If the green light with a heart symbol next to it is solidly on... then follow Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect to Virgin Media services now.
I have absolutely no idea what you mean by linking your Vodafone WiFi to the TiVo box, although I could have an educated guess. The TiVo has its own internet connection inbuilt, and doesn't have WiFi functionality.
