I've known situations where a faulty TiVo has been swapped out for a V6, and times when it's been swapped like-for-like, but you should expect a like-for-like replacement and perhaps either talk nicely to the engineer (assuming it's not done via Quick Start) or cross your fingers.
Otherwise, it depends how long you've had your package and whether you're willing to re-contract for 12/18months in exchange for a new bundle.
