Tivo recordings stopping mid way through

Hi, the recordings on my Tivo are stopping mid way through and from searching this site it would appear to be a hard drive problem.  Are VM still doing a free Tivo to V6 upgrade these days?

Thanks for the reply.  So, if i flag this as fault would I get a replacement Tivo or would they offer a V6 box?

Hi again you may be lucky and offered a V6, but usually its like for like, no harm in asking but its normally regarded as an upgrade and involves a new agreement and contract. Regards Micky

I've known situations where a faulty TiVo has been swapped out for a V6, and times when it's been swapped like-for-like, but you should expect a like-for-like replacement and perhaps either talk nicely to the engineer (assuming it's not done via Quick Start) or cross your fingers.

Otherwise, it depends how long you've had your package and whether you're willing to re-contract for 12/18months in exchange for a new bundle.
