Tivo recordings keep freezing and buffering. No problems for years but is now becoming increasingly annoying as it happens intermittently throughout the recording. I rang 150, followed the instructions and nothing has changed. Read an answer on the forum suggesting delaying a live broadcast for a short while and then run to see if it was the hard drive, but mine seems fine. Unfortunately, there was no answer to my situation. Furthermore, and don't know whether it's linked, the connection to iplayer takes forever to connect.

Recordings and paused programmes use your hard drive, whilst OnDemand & streaming use the internet.
It may be that some sectors of your HDD are OK, but others aren't. Also that there was a problem with the live broadcast that has been recorded.
TiVo's were never known for iPlayer speed, but you can just check for internet connectivity issues - the TiVo has an inbuilt connection which has the heartbeat status light on the front-left. Does this ever flash?
