Hello all, my Tivo box is looping through the startup screen then goes black and starts again. I am surprised the box has lasted this long as I have had it many years.
I tried the suggested turn it off and back on methods here in the community but its still the same. I used the help sections to check my tivo box and it said it could not connect with myy tivo box and then said
Thanks for your patience. As there’s still an issue, we need to send one of our technicians to visit you.
Book a slot
I would have booked a slot BUT it said that i may be charged £25 and I had to agree to it to get the slot. After doing another search here and being quite concerned I want to make sure this tech visit will not cost me anything as the VM equipment has gone wrong. Can someone get back to me please asap

That's very likely the standard disclaimer that applies to any tech visit that is found to be a no-fault situation.
If your VM equipment is at fault - with an elderly TiVo that's exceedingly likely - there should not be a charge.
