Tivo box freezes/picture drops out when we pause live TV and restart watching
Assuming that live TV is ok, are recordings also affected by this problem?
If they are, this is indicative of a problem with your box's hard drive - which eventually, will become terminal.
Suggest you call VM TV Faults and report this. 150 from a VM landline, or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.
