Cant get through on phone to get help from virgin.
Is the box well ventilated, and have you tried rebooting?
The best time to phone is either 8am when lines first open or around tea time. Even though the lines are busy you can often get through in 15/20 minutes.

Not yet, very difficult when working.
Forum staff should pick this thread up if all else fails, but they generally work through oldest unanswered posts first.
If you're not able to call, and leave this post alone, the staff team should pick it up.
In the meantime and just to clarify, is this buzzing noise anything like hard drive sounds? A failing HDD is one of the more common sources of "noise" on TiVo boxes.

It is an intermittent loud buzz that will stop if you put your hand on the box, I've checked the leads etc.. not sure if it's the hard drive.....
