If it’s a standard TiVO then there is an issue with the internal internet modem. Is the EPG empty (all channels showing “to be announced”)? This would be a sure sign that the internet connection is not working, & would cause trouble with recordings.
Most of the older TiVOs still use the legacy DOCSIS 1 system, so this will not affect your normal Broadband (which operates on DOCSIS 3). Check the service status & if nothing shows for your area then suspect a faulty box.
