Re: TiVo keeps freezing

Sounds like your box might be dying and in need of replacement - although is this happening when you're doing anything in particular?

Have you called Virgin to report the problem and (probably) seek a replacement box?

Re: TiVo keeps freezing

Hello Rainman, sad to hear your telly isn't working either.

Beware the promises of VM: these new boxes don't necessarily solve the situation, although supplying them is much cheaper than sending out a bod to investigate

Hope you get your situ solved soon. They've yet to contact us to resolve ours, but I guess Covid etc (although imagine missing your payments and saying "Covid etc": this is what marks you and me or from outfits like VM: they can have a bad time and still take our DDs like it ain't no thing:, we have a bad time, miss a payment and it's all "frack you, pay us, or we cut you off").

Full communism now. Also, please can you fix our TV? Thanks

@jonbeech

Your issue, which you already have a separate thread for, seems different to this one.

Re: TiVo keeps freezing

I guess there's a reason people call you insightful.

However there is an underlying thread that connects both Rainman and me, and that's the payment for a VM service neither of us are receiving.

See you back in the other thread

Re: TiVo keeps freezing

Thanks for the post Richardcgci.

Is this happening on live TV, On Demand, Catch Up or apps? Or is this happening no matter what you watch?

Have you already tried the following: Home> Help&Settings> Settings> Network> Connect to Virgin Media Service Now

Thanks, Emily.

Re: TiVo keeps freezing

Across all areas. Finding switching the box of at mains over night is helping. It is as if it happens when it get to warm. Yet it sits on its own on a shelf. Originally turn off and on at back worked , a pain awaiting it to reboot.
