TiVo freezing

I’m having a few intermittent issues:

1. Watching live programs the picture will freeze or stutter as if buffering.

2. Watching playback recordings the same can happen

3. The TiVo sometimes takes an age to boot from standby

I have reset the hub and the TiVo and checked all connections thoroughly.  I’m getting 100Mb download speeds so don’t think it’s the network.

Any ideas on what’s wrong?

There's a few possible causes here, the box certainly doesn't sound too healthy, but first thing's first.. do you have a TiVo or a V6? If you're not sure, check here 

Live TV programs have nothing to do with your internet (unless you're watching On Demand) and everything to do with your TV signal.

Recorded programs have everything to do with your box's hard drive.

I'm not sure how long to reboot that you're calling "an age"?

It’s a TiVo not a V6.

Thinking about it, the TV problems do end to be on catch-up viewing.  I’ll keep note of this going forward, just to be certain.

Apologies, “an age” isn’t very helpful!  Up to 5 minutes I’d say.
