I have just installed the new v6 box and that works okay, then transferred the old TiVo box to the back room. It was all up and running fine, and the settings transferred to the v6 box satisfactorily. But... I then went to help and settings on the TiVo box to clear the programmed recordings from it and it is now stuck ‘clearing your data’. I have tried resetting it, switching it off, unplugging it and using the on line fix your TiVo box link. And it still shows the same screen after starting up, 24 hours later and no further forward.
I'm sorry for the problems you've been experiencing with your TV service recently.
I've located your account to take a closer look at this from our end and run some tests on the box but we're not detecting any errors from our end at the moment. I hope that means that things have improved since your post?

Are you testing the right box? We have the new v6 box which is working fine, installed last week. Its the original TiVo box that I have moved into the back room. It’s still stuck showing the same message! Please help, the wife’s moaning about not being able to use it since we upgraded.
Hi, did you get to the bottom of this. I have the same problem, it's been deleting for 24 hours now. Rang Virgin who said, it can take 4 hours, told them it had been running for 12 (this morning), was told to restart, said done that, said it takes 4 hours, said yes now 16 hours. Basically they did not have a clue. Maybe you had better luck?
