TiVo box problem

Our picture has started to shake intermittently and gradually getting worse.

We've had our TiVo box for 7-8 years.

What are our options?

With Christmas getting close, we don't want to be without a TV!

Firstly, what do you mean by shaking? Do you mean pixellating pictures, or something else?

Is this on live TV? Or OnDemand?

It's not pixelating.

I don't know how else to explain, except shaking. It's like it's sticking.

It happens on live TV and recordings.

The box has got slow at responding too.

Is it on any particular channels?

And have you tried restarting the box?

If you've had your current TV package a while, and have VM broadband, you could certainly look at whether a newer package might be more cost-effective and could include a swap to a V6 box.

I don't think it matters what channel it's on.

The box did recently restart on it's own, as we had a brief power cut. (The problem had started before that).

I would assume Virgin would replace the box foc after all this time being customers.

If your box is restarting anything more than "occasionally", it's likely faulty.

Absolutely - if you report a service fault, then VM will replace any of their kit found to be faulty. I was just suggesting another possible option for you.
