TV remote app communication error

I am trying to connect an iPad Air to my v6 box on the control app but keep getting a communication error. Have rebooted wi-fi, have deleted and reinstalled app, have rebooted v6 box, the app works on a different iPad on the same box. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

Are both iPads on the same version of iOS ?

Is you iPad Air a wireless and mobile data model, if so turn off mobile data and try again.

Different iOS but according to App Store it should work. Not mobile data as for my son.
