Does your TV have more than one HDMI input? If so, can you try another port?
Different TV's may have the same sound settings across inputs, others may be different.

it’s always been nearly half as quiet than the equivalent channel on freeview to me and all of the apps are then same compared to my built in tv apps and fire stick’s just learned to live with it after 10 years.

Hi @Morkjc
Welcome back to the community.
Sorry to hear of your concerns with volume on different channels. The volume may fluctuate between channel to channel as the volume levels are set by the broadcasters. You may also notice a difference in volume levels between TV programmes and adverts too.
You can try another HDMI port as japitts advises to see if this helps.

Thanks for your posts and updates, Morkjc.
We're sorry to see you're still having lower volume on HD channels, as advised above each channel may differ in volume levels as set by the broadcaster and we're not in control of this.
You may also notice different volume levels from SD to HD or even on the same channel between a programme and ads.
Can you please advise if testing a different HDMI cable or port has helped improve the volume levels at all?
Let us know how you get on, we'd love to assist further where needed.
