The M4 error appeared after no previous issue.
I am running SH3 as a modem into an ASUS mesh router. The TiVo box was run through SH (where the issue started) , but LAN cable now into a port on the ASUS, with no change.
No issue with other devices on the ASUS LAN, and initial problem was through the SH3, so I am doubtful that there is a genuine IP address conflict.
The M4 issue isn't listed on virgin online 'help' so no help there. Remote ping didn't help. Reboots haven't helped and no way to factory rest that I can see.
An IP address conflict happens when two or more devices in a network have the same IP address. This results to one or both of the devices not being able to communicate with the wireless network.
Have you set up a static IP address on either the SH3 or your ASUS LAN? If so you may be assigning an IP that's already in use.
