TIVO on demand movies, iplayer and Netflix freezing

Reading this forum, our problem appears to be fairly common...

We have a Tivo box and are now unable to watch anything on Netflix, iplayer or a paid movie without it freezing and / or dropping out. Usually after 20-30 minutes, then regularly afterwards.

When frozen, the online LED flashes (about once per second). In Netflix, performing a network check says its lost connection to the servers. Usually it will recover after several minutes, only to fail again after a short while.

Would appreciate some help please (apart from telling me to reset the box!)

I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble with the On Demand services.

 

Can you confirm if you've checked the wires are all connected securely in the back of the box?

Hi Alex,

Can confirm both cables (power and incoming cable) are connected correctly into the Tivo. All other functions of the Tivo box work correctly. As stated, can stream on iPlayer and Netflix for a period of time before it drops out. This can be 30 minutes, or just 30 seconds.

Had this Tivo box for years and never had an issue up to now.
