TIVO box not working properly

Lately my Virgin Tivo box has been working very slow or not at all.

Normal TV is ok, but using the guide to navigate to a different program is very very sluggish.

 

Also, I player freezes at randon points....... also ITV hub doesnt work at all and tells me to get a newer box,

You can report box faults by calling Virgin, who can replace any equipment that's deemed necessary.

Many issues with the older TiVo boxes are caused by the internal internet connection failing, which you can quickly diagnose by looking for flashing green lights on the front-left of the box.

ITV CatchUp & box-sets are available on all VM boxes, but the ITV-branded app is indeed only available on the new V6 box. You need to have VM broadband in order for the V6 to work.

Hi....Thanks for your reply......... I've phoned them twice tonight.......one over an hour and "the other person has cleared",,,,,,,,next one 58 minutes and "the other person has cleared"....................I'm really fed up.

You have my sympathies, it shouldn't happen and I know it's been raised as an issue.

You can try the text message service (07533 051809) or try perhaps morning or mid-afternoon when the queues are quieter.

It still isn't working...... Apparently the lady who I spoke to could tell that the tuner had failed... She did something and told me it world be fine now, well it isn't...... I can't bear trying to get thru on the phone again for another 5 hours........

If a tuner has failed, that's a box replacement every time. I'm going to escalate this thread to forum staff to respond.
