Any advice as to how I can get this sorted sooner than waiting 4 days for a technician to attend?

The green "DVR has detected an error" screen means your TiVo's hard drive has failed and the box will need replacing - most likely with a V6 assuming you have VM home broadband.
From your comment about waiting 4days, I presume you've reported your fault to VM who have booked a tech appointment. That was absolutely the right thing to do, I would suggest you regularly check via your myVM account for sooner cancellations which you could then rebook.

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with the TiVo box. I'm afraid the best course of action here is to arrange for an engineer. We do offer the next available appointment but sometimes there may be a few days wait.
