TIVO Setup - Stuck on Configuring Network Settings

Trying to complete the setup of my father-in-law's new TIVO box that Virgin have just sent him, but it won't get past the last step. Configuring Network Settings. It's been on this for 24 hours.

I assume this is because he has no internet. Never has.

Any ideas on how we get past this step?

Have you/he called in to "activate" the new equipment - as per the instructions in the packaging ?

Yes, followed the instructions to the letter. Still no progress. Called tech support but their systems were down so will try again later today.

Hi,

Issue now resolved. Apparently it's an occasional issue with the new box. An engineer came out and did the required config changes and all is now well.
