Series link used to work, now doesn't.

I had Only Connect (channel 102) set up for series link and it worked fine. Now the series link is not working although the program records OK.

Why the change?

If the programmes are recording ok, then how is it the series link isn't working?

We have to set the recording manually every week. In "My Planned Recording" it doesn't show up until we have used the manual recording option. On the TV Guide, there is not the little circleR icon that shows a series link has been set up.

What are you series link settings - "new only", "new and reruns" or "everything"?

Which episodes are failing to record - can you give specific examples, please.

And what shows in "recording hiccups"?

I have changed nothing from when they were recording on series link previously. No Changes made

The episodes didn't "fail to record" as we didn't allow them to; we like the program too much to miss one 'cos the bloody machine has thrown a wobbly.

In the event, it has now decided to use Series Link again - without me doing anything.

Why do these things take it into their 'heads' to work/not work at random?

Anyway, problem has gone away so thanks for your efforts but hey ho

I very much doubt it was random, but without knowing specific examples, no-one can look for the logic or reason.

Recording Hiccups list will tell you why a Series Link did not record - but it all works here.
