Red Button BBC News App - Removal

Has anyone else complained to the BBC about the removal of the News App which is available via the red button on Virgin? They have reversed the decisions for the basic red button services on freeview/sky but are still going ahead with the removal of the app. The BBC said I should complain to Virgin, which is daft when it is the BBC removing the service.

I have to say it is the last "useful" non-catchup/streaming app available, everything else has gone. So much for the "smart" TV revolution.

Re: Red Button BBC News App - Removal

BBC have changed their mind about removing it but Virgin have not reinstated it. The ball is in Virgin's court. Get complaining!

Re: Red Button BBC News App - Removal

Not true, BBC retained the old red button like used on Freeview and sky, not the connected red button using the apps like used on tivio and smart TVs. So it is not Virgin it is BBC removing the apps.
