Does this affect live TV channels at all? And does it also affect watching live TV that you've paused or have rewound from live?
It's possible that you have a problem with your hard drive which would affect recorded & delayed TV, but live TV & On Demand would be fine.
I would suggest calling VM to report your fault if this is the case, as this will only get worse over time and will eventually cause the box to fail outright. 150 from a VM landline, or 0345 4541111 from any other phone, and follow the options for "I have a fault with my TV service"
