Re: Tivo Upgrade

Hi Japitts - not OP but you seem to know this stuff.

If I have a TIVO box which is 9 years old and is unbearably slow, i.e menus take 30 seconds per push.  Would this be considered a fault and then get an upgrade?

TiVo's were never very quick boxes, but as to whether VM consider that a fault - I suspect if a tech attended for a reported issue, that they would replace your box with a V6.

Hi @jez1971, thanks for reaching out to us on the Virgin Media forums! 👋🏼

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with the Tivo box. 😞
May I ask if you're experiencing any fault with the TV box itself? I.e. is it crashing or suffering from any performance issues?
Let us know and we can go on from there.

Kind regards,
Ilyas.

Sorry for the long break in response time.  I am suffering very slow performance when navigating, it can take ten seconds to enter a menu option.  Sometimes it seems to hand altogether.  It's almost unusable.

My second tivo box is more modern and fast

Thanks for the response on this matter,

Just from checking our service there doesn't seem to be any readings that would attribute to any faults.

Are you receiving any error messages when trying to access certain applications?

Also are any channels pixelated/unable to load?

Regards,

Kain
