I am intrigued to understand whether this was resolved, I have an LG TV and experienceing exactly the same problem (although my screen only goes blank for maybe 5 seconds) I have replaced the HDMI Cable, tried all 3 of the HDMI ports on the TV and still experience the problem, only when fast forwarding a pre recorded program or rewinding/pausing live TV, I don't experience do the same on streamed content? The Virgin engineer visited yesterday, and actually replaced the unit, but it still happens, have you any further advice??? Thanks in advance 🙂

Incidentally, mine started happening a couple of months ago, I have just been putting uip with it, but I notice it may be a simiar time period to this incident and wondered whether a patch/update on either device could have caused the issue?

Streaming & OnDemand uses the internet.
Recorded & paused/delayed TV uses the box's hard drive.
