Re: Poor signal on live TV and recordings

Joining in

Hi Aman0760 and Dave,

I too am getting pixelation on Live TV, and also when we play back recordings, ie the pixelation has been recorded.

I have looked in the Tivo diagnostic section, and whilst some signal strengths are at 96% others are down to 90%, is this ok?

Another thought, can white coax degrade in UV light. Part of our coax is run outside in sunlight and is now brown instead of white.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Firstly, it's better to start your own thread for any service issues rather than tack onto someone elses.. it's been done for you here.

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. If you have a TiVo and it's diagnosed faulty, it will be replaced with a V6 providing you have VM home broadband.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.
