Pixellating pictures is how digital TV handles poor signal. So deal with the poor signal fault and you resolve the pixellation.
Reboot your box once, check for known faults on 0800 5610061 and then call VM to report your fault - you will either need an engineer visit or replacement box. If you have multiple boxes at home, then swapping them around will help prove whether it's the box at fault, or your cabling.
