I have exactly the same problem. Randomly, not quite every time, I pause, or stop a playback and the option to “resume” the playback is not offered. So I have to fast forward to the place where I stopped viewing. So so so frustrating. Please help
Chances are this won't be random, but will be particular channels. iPlayer always used to have a 5minute timeout which occasionally caused a glitch if you resumed after longer than that. VM's OnDemand platform (that hosts all the non-app content) has a 10minute timeout, but "resume" should be an option.
Even if the programme does time out, the option to resume from either the start or where you left off, should be offered.
