Any progress on installing your second VM box?

Yesterday (4 Feb 2021) I phoned about getting one and was told VM aren't installing second boxes.

There isn't even a wait list to record customer requests.

"Just phone back in the future" was the frustrating advice. Of course we all know phoning VM is a nightmare hassle.

  • Where QuickStart is unavailable, we’re still installing Virgin TV boxes for new customers, but for now we won’t install any extra TV boxes to minimise our technicians’ time in customers’ homes. Customers will receive a £10 monthly bill credit until we can safely complete their order. Similarly, our technicians won’t install or move extra phone outlets, extensions or WiFi Pods, and ask customers to contact us by phone or through our online Messenger to reschedule when restrictions ease. For Hub installs or upgrades, we offering our install-it-yourself QuickStart service at no extra charge, where available. Replacement Virgin TV remotes are being sent out by post.

I got mine fitted but that was last June when restrictions was eased they wouldn’t do it in full lockdown so I presume they won’t be installing second boxes yet.

Hey @philiplawry and thanks for your post on the forums.

 

Unfortunately we are still restricting home visits to new installs and service faults, this may change in the next few weeks when the restrictions start to be lifted but at the moment we cannot install any additional boxes.
