I'm in the Teesside area (Middlesbrough) and have no problems with any of my TV channels.
The only known issue showing when I check is UNABLE TO VIEW CATCHUP ASSETS "UNSUBSCRIBED" - CHANNELS CARTOONITO, NICKELODEON, BOOMERANG. That however is not a local issue - it's a known national issue
Check all your cabling, especially the white coaxial cable, and make sure it's snug and tight and free from all kinks.
Have you looked at https://www.virginmedia.com/help/service-status to see if VM are aware of any issues affecting your post code area?
(The Check Service Status is often only populated with details of wide spread outages.)
You could also try the automated Service Status number 0800 561 0061. This often gives details of more localised issues down to postcode level.
Whilst not ideal it's probably a better indicator of known problems and should also show the latest estimated date/time for the fault to be repaired.
If nothing is showing under either then report it as a fault. 150 from a Virgin landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111, option 2 (Faults)
