My tivo box pictures break up frequently. I reset the box and it reverts OK but I'm getting fed up.
What else can I do? What are optimal settings on diagnostics for agc level, snr and return power and any other readings which are relevant?

If you have picture breakup, then I'd recommend calling Virgin to report a service fault. Especially if you've rebooted once, that should be enough to eliminate a software issue.
Are there any particular channels affected? This may pinpoint particular frequencies that may be affected.

It is general. The box is on most of the day for my mother. Could be it overheats. When I reboot or switch on and off the picture is normal. Agc is 80%, snr is 39 and return power 37.5. Picture break up is the usual flashing colours.

Yes picture break up is sporadic but usually mornings and most channels I watch
I reboot but the signal is constant 80% and other levels are 37 and 39.
I think the signal is too low
