Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Hi I have been experiencing pausing and pix-elating every few minutes on all channels which is driving everyone nuts in my house. We have checked that all the cables are plugged in properly  but the problem is still happening. Annoying as we have 3 boxes in the house and tv becomes un-watchable. I'd expect this with Sky but not Virgin..

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Sounds very much like a signal issue to me.. assuming there's nothing on the service status page (https://my.virginmedia.com/faults/service-status) then Virgin probably don't know about it and therefore can't get on with fixing it.

Call into faults on 150 or 0345 4541111.

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Hi Natalie18,

Thanks for posting on our Community.

Thanks for the response japitts.

I do apologise for the pixelated TV channels, as you can't watch your favorite programs. We want this to get sorted as soon as possible. I just need to confirm few things.

Does is happen to all your boxes at the same time? What type of TV boxes do you have and how long is it happening? Have you tried rebooting your TV boxes?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks

Victoria_M

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

HI Victoria_M,

I have 1 Tivo V6 box and 2 Tivo boxes. It happens on all channels and and at the same time on all boxes. This has been going on now for nearly 3 weeks and yes we have tried rebooting all the boxes.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?? It feels like a signal loss as if you had a sky box and interference when weather is bad but all the time!!

Thanks

Natalie18

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Hi Natalie18,

Thanks for responding back on our Community.

Appreciate the information you've provided. Sorry it's happening for 3 weeks now.

Can you please check our service status page here as it sounds like fault.

Just to confirm as well are those 3 TV boxes are connected under one hub?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Hi Victoria_M,

I have run service status test on all boxes over the last few weeks and earlier on today and it's still telling me there is no fault on any of them.

Yes they are all running from under the  one hub.

Thanks

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Hi natalie18,

Thanks for getting back on our Community.

I see. Just to clarify that you have three TV boxes that are connected to one hub?

Can you tell me what hub are connected? is it hub 3.0 or the other hubs?

Waiting to your response.

Thanks

Hi Victoria_M

It's a 3.0 Hub and yes all 3 are connected to the one hub.

Thanks

Re: Pausing and Pix-elating tv on all channels

Thanks for your post Natalie.

I suspect that there maybe an issue with something at network level if all three boxes are having the problem.

If you've not already called into the centre I'd be happy to look into this over private messaging.

Just give me a nudge and I'll get the ball rolling
