On demand crashes

Almost every time I try to watch on demand on my tivo box it crashes and I get the c130 error.

I can get it back by resetting the box but as I said it happens all the time, sometimes several times in one episode.

Re: On demand crashes

Hi Davie43,

Have you followed the rest of the help for error-codes/c130  as it sounds like your TIVO is losing the internet connection?

Connect to your Virgin Media Service

Using your TV box remote:

  1. Select the home button
  2. Use the directional buttons to select Help & Settings
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Network
  5. Select Connection in progress: get status or Connect to the Virgin Media Service now
After following these steps are you able to watch TV again?

Dave

Re: On demand crashes

There could be an underlying reason for this.

On the front-left of your TiVo, there's a series of green lights. Are any of these flashing when your OnDemand drops?

Re: On demand crashes

Hi Davie43,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry to hear about the issue with your OnDemand service.

Have you been able to try the options advised by newapollo?

Re: On demand crashes

Thanks for the replies. Yes, if I leave it 5 minutes, everything reconnects and works fine but then I get the error again later. Watched 4 eps of flight attendant the other night and it crashed during every one, sometimes within the first couple of minutes, sometimes half an hour into it

Re: On demand crashes

newapollo has given valid advice for reconnecting after a failure, should the auto-reconnect process not work (which, ordinarily, it should)

There could still be an underlying reason for this.

Re: On demand crashes

Hi.

The green light on the left stays on but the one on the right flashes.

Is the flashing one, the one with the painted heart symbol next to it? It sounds like it is, but confirmation would be useful.

If so - the underlying reason for your problem is that your TiVo's internal modem is failing. That means no internet connection - which means streaming & OnDemand will fail.

It's a fault.
