On-Demand movies and catch-up buffers endlessly after ~20 minutes

As per title. We tried to watch the film "1917" and after about 20 minutes it collapsed into buffering and telling us to check our connections. After restarting it we were able to watch a bit more of the film until it failed again. We needed to reboot about 6 or 7 times to see the complete film.

We did wonder whether there was high demand on Friday evening and tried again the following morning with the same result.

This morning we tried watching "The Andrew Marr Show" on catch-up with the same result. Our normal broadcast services work without these failures although we do get occasional pixelation momentary bursts.

Our broadband service has good bandwidth and appears to work well.

Hello pmscott6135

Really sorry to hear this has happened

Can I ask what box you have and do you get the same issues watching Live TV?

Im guessing you have checked all connections are secure

I am more than happy to have as look at what may be causing this issue

Re: On-Demand movies and catch-up buffers endlessly after ~20 minutes

Hi Gareth,

Thanks for your response. We are receiving normal TV services correctly apart from the occasional pixelation. I phoned 150 and they checked our system are sending us a replacement TiVo box.

No doubt my next question will be "how do I transfer our recorded material onto the new box?" 😉

Kind regards,

Peter

Thanks for replying pmscott6135

Glad to hear its in hand now

Regarding the transfer of your recordings to the  new box, "please dont shoot me i'm just the messenger"

This is not possible as they will be stored on the boxed hard drive

You can transfer all your series links though by following these instructions

Hi Gareth,

Thanks for warning re. recordings. That differs from what I was told on the 150 phone call but I strongly suspect you are right.

Kind regards,

Peter

Hi pmscott6135

Sorry if this was not advised on 150,

I will certainly be feeding this back for you
