OD problem

After reading the forum here I'm pretty convinced my old TiVo box has failed. Several minutes into any on demand programme I get an error message. The internal modem light on the front of the box blinks when it stops working and when I run a network diagnostic it says network cable is unplugged (it isn't and all cables are tight). Rebooting solves the problem for a bit.

Would it be possible to get a replacement box without a technician visit? I am reluctant to have a visit because of the pandemic. I have cancelled my Sky Movies sub as I only ever used that to watch OD content!

I hope someone from VM will get back to me on this. I was having a conversation with the team but I stopped getting any replies to my messages (so apologies for posting again). They did very kindly arrange for a replacement coax to be sent but unfortunately that did not solve the problem

Yep, that's a failed internal modem.

Your best move is to call VM Faults on the usual number, but be very specific about "my online light is flashing". That should trigger... either an engineer visit or replacement box, depending on what the agent's diagnostics show.
