I have a constant chattering sound coming from my Tivo box, it makes the noise whether in use or sat on standby.
I suspect it is the drive, it does get quite annoying when the room is quiet and you are trying to read.
Is this a common issue or should it report it as a fault?

No, that's not normal. Report it as a fault.
Edited to include VM's contact number that wasn't included originally - 150 from a VM phone, or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.

OMG! how do you report a fault with the Tivo to VM.

You should call 150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111, option 2 (Faults) but best to call between 8am and 10am to avoid call queues, or late afternoon around tea time

Tried dialling 150 but the automated menu wasn't giving me an option to talk to anyone, just wanted to run checks on my system.

Can I just ask about the sound, can you hear it when you are watching something on your TV?
I know this is so obvious, but have you rebooted the box and checked the wires just to make sure there are no issues?

Yes I have rebooted the box and checked all the cables, didn't change anything.
The sound is constant, whether working or on standby.
The best way I can describe it is a chattering or clicking sound.
