Hi, we have no sound coming through our TiVo box, we have followed all the online instructions and this has not solved the problem. The picture also has a purplish tinge to it with the Guide etc showing in a much smaller print. Do we need a new box?
A purplish screen and loss of sound is usually the result of a faulty HDMI connection.
Have you tried disconnecting and then reconnecting the HDMI lead, you should really turn the box off before recoonecting the lead.
You might also want to try another known working HDMI lead.
